I must say that I am quiet amazed and inspired by the efforts of Iridial. Visually, what a fantastic package as a boxed set, The Conet Project is.
First listening to the discs covered both my wife and myself with a very unsettling calmness, ( isn't that like jumbo shrimp ?), I suppose due to the intonations and the subject matter that The Conet Project contains.

Bought this CD on remembering hearing some Algerian music years ago on the BEEB then Page & Plant do their Morroccan thing. What an excellent alternative it is. Vibrant, driven & musical. Recommend it for anyone that enjoys good music wanting to step a little outside the usual western but not too far into arabic music.

The overall production feel is very 'western' in much the same way that Marley's later LPs were not really reggae, neither is this. The sound is very modern and technological in a way I don't associate with Perry normally [sic]. The album has a polished feel.
Having said all that, there are a few bright spots, notably 'Mr. Music' which is almost ... Read More:
