I found this box set on tv and bought it the next day. It has been really good listening to all the old 80's tracks. It is full of all those tracks you hear on the radio and recognise and miss hearing. My daughter will not admit to listening to what she describes as 'wrinkly songs' but it is amusing to hear her sing along.
Well worth buying if you enjoy listening to songs with real catchy lyrics that are easy to understand

I found this box set on tv and bought it the next day. It has been really good listening to all the old 80's tracks. I can't believe the reviewer (Debbie) who says she didn't know most of these tracks! If she was there in the 1980s, she must have had ear plugs in and a paper bag over her head! This album is a great compilation at a bargain price - fantastic for listening to in the car, or quizzing your mates (who was that?), or demonstrating your vast knowledge of 1980s pop trivia. For the discerning listener, this series of albums prompts wider research into some of these artists - the excellent Blancmange, for example, and whatever happened to Kon Kan?
At less than £1 per disc, this is amazing value. For those who weren't there it provides a pretty good overview of what was happening in that decade.

I fully recommend this CD for anyone who loves the great music from the eighties.

I love music and the 1980s is my favorite decade for tunes.
"Back to the 80s" is such a great compilation, it features 40 tracks that were all huge in the day. No.1 hits such as "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell and "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" by Bonnie Tyler mix with near misses on the top spot such as Howard Jones "What Is Love". Every track on this CD is a gem, a very playable album that is essential in every good music collection and great for playing in the car.
I found out about this CD set after hearing my Uncle and Auntie playing it, they have great taste in music.
All in all i recommened that you give this disc a try if you love 80s music or great music in general. A TRIP BACK TO THE 80S!!!

The 80's was certainly the best decade for pop music, and these new wave classics prove this. Each song is fantastic in its own right. The only downside is its missing "cars" by Gary Numan, the father of New Wave. Nevertheless, this CD sums up why the 80's wsa so great. Cruising to Wave 103 in Vice City was great, this is great, buy it.
