Like a great number of cut price Motown releases this one has some archive gens and some rerecorded duds, as far as I can hear by distant relatives of the original artists Supreme -in-laws possible or Marvelette daughters. All the tracks here are well known and so even in a karaoke way they are never less than entertaining.
we open with a clutch of Gladys Knight singles from so long ago they were probably recorded on slate! segue into Supreme singalikes with dull arrangements making you long for those ultra tight ones from that bygone era. Likewise the Marvelette accredited tracks though Don't Mess With Bill, one of the best tracks Motown ever produced, is only slightly messed with. I bought this collection to replace a lot of vynil. Sadly the majority ofthe tracks are re-recordings by the original artists but done in the lastdecade or so. A poor recording and in my opinion poorly marketed byAmazon. Yes its 60's but not the original recordings which the packageleads you to believe. Amazon should put a warning label on this. If theyhave then it should be much more prominent on the web site.

Got it and this is a great CD, If you love SOUL and Funk then you will love this and if you love Disco then you will Deffinatly love this...
