Alas, it was not to be. A lot of the tunes have dated terribly and Hed Kandi would have been wiser pulling all the seriously funky numbers into a single CD rather than spreading them thinly across two. A typical example is the piano intro on Rhythm Is Rhythm which is fantastic. However, the rest of the track rapidly loses the plot and you'll find yourself skipping the track after the intro. The inclusion of tracks like the cack handed Aly-us beggars belief! There are some great classics here though from Inner City, De La Soul, Young MC, Young Disciples and the superb Real Love by Driza Bone that epitomises the sound of the late 80's more than any other ...
