There are a good amount of songs on this 3 disc box set a total of 54 songs.
Some of the songs are the remix type songs with extended intro which is disappointing ,
The set needs more of the 80's classic songs, there is no Frankie Goes to Hollywood but Paula Abdul and Ashford & Simpson make an appearance.
The album has Madness singing Uncle Sam which wasn't one of their biggest songs, the CD's also include a song from Blondie and a song from Deborah Harry, which is bit like having Culture club and then have a song by Boy George.
All in all a disappointing 80's set, no classics and I'm sure if I had looked harder I would of found better.

Here it is, the NOW series' "greatest hits" if you may...
I am sure it was a difficult process picking the songs for such a milestone collection. You can not please everyone and there will be dozens of songs people will feel should have been there. Perhaps a 4 or 5 CD collection would have been a better idea to cover such a long period of hits. It seems that each CD in the collection is devoted to one decade of music, which is not a bad idea. But why not have the songs in their chronological order while you're at it?
To comment on the songs that are on it they are sure to bring back memories for people growing up in the 80s and the 90s. Most of the songs on here have become modern classics, the type of songs everyone ... Read More:

Great album as it was likely to be but how the hell did atomic kitten get on there? If Robbie Williams is on then Oasis should be on as these two are the ONLY 'legendary' things to come out of britain in the last 10 years!
Apart from this 'niggle' everything else about the album is great but then again, the songs are taken from albums which most true brit will own anyway so I'll give it 5 stars but not really good value for money. P.S STILL can't believe Atomic Kitten is on and Oasis isn't!!

This is such a great box set and has everything I would want from the 80's, from Queen, Soft Cell and Spandeau Ballet to things I haven't heard for ages like Living in a Box and Rock Steady Crew.
I already have School Reunion The Party and The Disco, but this one is by far the best yet!

Things have come to a sorry pass indeed if this is the best list of songs that the compilers of this mediocre CD could think of to represent the best of British music of the past 40 years or so. There are a few great tracks on here - you can never hear 'Waterloo Sunset' too many times, 'Senses Working Overtime' is always welcome and the musicianship on 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick' boggles the mind. But, T'Pau should surely remain firmly in the 'where are they now' file, it's about time 'Tubular Bells' and Duran Duran's entire output were consigned forever to the cultural refuse dump and no-one in the world needs to hear 'In the Air Tonight' ever again, ever. Some of the other tracks are barely representative of the best output of the performers ... Read More:

First up, this is a pretty good collection for anyone who's after a classic 80's party mix. The songs are good fun & remind you of those great school days when pop music was symbolised by a single white stripe across your nose of by the wearing of a large white baggy vest with RELAX written on it.
The only downside is that there have been other albums of a similar vain which contain most of the songs on here (School Disco 1 & 2 for instance) but if you've not got those, this is a good bet.
Overall I'd rate it well, but for originality I've had to go with 3 stars (as it's not that original!).
