this is a fantastic cd!
i was eagerly waiting for the day that it came out and bought it on the 1st day. i knew next to none of the songs but after i listened to it a couple of times i began to like EVERY song. i loved the first 2 cds aswell so im looking forward to the 2008 album (if there is going to be 1)

Now seriously, Mr Pearce - what were you thinking???!!! starting a compilation is a complicated affair, one that takes more thought than throwing in such commercial criminals as Elvis vs JXL, Love Inc and Dj Sammy. The listener is taken back a few years to the 'real ibiza' of 1998 with the truly anthemic cafe del mar, followed by one of Maxi Jazz' finest hours - insomnia. track 7-10 on cd1, seem to be almost filler tracks, although enjoyable tunes nonetheless. the first cd really takes off around track 11, IIO, Delerium, PPK, Da Hool, Darude provide the real bangers on this compilation, before things are taken a little darker by paul masterson and the warp brothers.

It's hard to believe a compilation like this actually exists. 63 tracks, all the classics, mixed and spread over three amazing discs. Roughly cut up into rave, club and house, this fine set is now my favourite cd ever (except there's three, so favourite cds ever). Despite a few dodgy mixes (the dj appears to bugger off completely somewhere towards track 18 of disc 3) and some bizarre choices ('Hallelujah' by the Happy Mondays, 'High' by Hyper Go Go and 'Fools Gold' by Stone Roses), all the classic (compulsory) tracks are here, like 'Ride on Time', 'Theme From S'Express' and 'Rhythm is a Dancer'. Pure euphoria.

This 5 disc set represents superb value for money as every track is a classic dance tune.I like the way they have grouped certain styles of dance music together on each disc.For instance disc 2 features tunes from the late 80's and early 90's predominantly and disc 5 has a selection of trance tunes for your listening pleasure.I havnt skipped a single track whilst listening to this bad boy over the last few nights and with a 100 tunes to get through thats pretty good going.I'm also recommending the "100 Club Classics" as the perfect companion to this set and with both your in for some great tunes and great memories of dancing in smoke filled nightclubs on a Saturday night! Buy them now and turn up that bass!
