Oh Yes! Is it just me or is this the best film soundtrack ever?! Its just so brilliantly mixed and put together, the balance of great tunes, soundbites lifted from the movie, and genuinely brilliant comic moments is absolutely spot on! I really cant stress this enough, if you loved the film, like pretty much the rest of the country did, then this is an absolute must. Buy it for God's sake, because it truly is on random.

There is no doubt to the 'classic' status of the tracks on this album. They are all memorable and some are still played in clubs today. It is becoming a bit of a washout though since there are zillions of compilations just like this on the market. If you have one of the classic compilations you have them all! Each of these compilations have the majority of the same tracks on them.
Judging on its own merits this compilation is a bit of a mare. The mixing is sporadic in timing and quality. For instance the mixing between Needin U and Dreamer is very good, but other mixes are 'just press stop on one and start on the other at the same time' mixing. I was extremley dubious when buying this CD du to Ministry of Sound releasing some of the crappiest cds ever particulary, in fact definitly the "Annual" cds. However i was pleasantly surprised when i heard this. The mixing isnt great but a nice change from the usual pap. However on CD 2 the track listing is almost a carbon copy of "Jacques lu Conts Fariclive mix cd" which i find appalling. Oh yeah and azzido bass? how old is that!?

I Bought this Cd collection from faye and after recently purchasing Hard Dance Anthems 2003, and waiting for over a week for it to arrive!I was expecting this one to take just as long but it came after just a few days, the cd's are in good nik(?) and the music is just as good! thanks a lot faye, and I will look out for some more cd's from you in the near future.

Trance Classics

It mystifies me as to how the MoS can call this a collection of 'classics'. This album is purely commercial, and if you're looking for some true definitive trance music then look away. After being an avid fan of this genre for so long I was almost in tears at such a tracklist.

Let's start with the positives - and trust me, this won't take long. Tracks like 'System F - Out of the Blue', and 'Gouryella - Gouryella' certainly deserve to be on an album bearing such a title, as it's true that they have been a huge influence on the trance scene. 'William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Mix)' is another true classic, along with possibly 'Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar'.

This album has all my favourite songs and artists, Kylie Minouge, S Club 7, Robbie Williams and Craig David. It also stands out with it's vibrant colour.This year has been very good in the world of pop and this album proves it. It is just so cool.
