I bought this record on one of those 'people who bought this record also bought .... ' whims . I bought Cinematic Orchestra's 'Everyday' at the same time and for a short while was blown away byt that to take to much notice of this pressing .

A year later and I've seen 'Cinematic' live in Derby (which is a real good night out mid-week) and I'm still playing this album in my car ! It kinda swings from moods of 'take it easy Cadburys caramel' to 'have it!' without seeming disjointed and suffering from 'time fillers'

It shows many influences from jazz , hip hop , breakbeat and drum 'n' bass and yet all tracks should suit al tastes and can be revisited many times without sounding tired . Kinda like a Luke Slater album but ... Read More:

The recent death of Billy Preston has prompted the reissue of this memento of his short stay with the Beatles' Apple label from 1969. This was the bigger seller of two LPs he recorded for them, largely on the back his input to the Fabs' Let It Be album and Get Back single, and of the gospel flavoured title track, which was a hit single here but not, despite heavy airplay, in the States.

As was usually the case with Apple releases the hit, together with its B-side "What About You" are the most commercial songs on the album, with the exception of "Hey Brother", which is a dead ringer for Hendrix's "Hey Joe".
