 Rating:  - The Pick of the 80sI can't believe the reviewer (Debbie) who says she didn't know most of these tracks! If she was there in the 1980s, she must have had ear plugs in and a paper bag over her head! This album is a great compilation at a bargain price - fantastic for listening to in the car, or quizzing your mates (who was that?), or demonstrating your vast knowledge of 1980s pop trivia. For the discerning listener, this series of albums prompts wider research into some of these artists - the excellent Blancmange, for example, and whatever happened to Kon Kan? At less than £1 per disc, this is amazing value. For those who weren't there it provides a pretty good overview of what was happening in that decade. Rating:  - DisappointingThere were so many songs that I had never heard before. I thought I was going to know them all so it was very disappointing. I wonder how many were actually "hits"? Rating: - Unbeatable Value 5 CD Box Set100 Hit's - 80s contains all the original versions (except one excellent live version (Rabbit - Chas 'n' Dave)) with every song an 80's UK Hit. If you want a CD that gives you an overview of the 80's this 5 CD Box Set is it!! There's 5 CDS packed with great songs that you'll recall from 20 years ago. They were all big back then and even if you don't like them (I really hate some of them lol)you still have the nostalgia factor to go for. For the price asked is THE bargain, you won't risk a bit with this one. I would say "essential for any CD collection, of any size". Rating: - Excellent Compilation Of 80s MusicFINALLY! --- A huge, 5 CD box set with many of the greatest hits from the finest decade of music - the 1980s. Many of the stars of the decade such as A-Ha, Bucks Fizz, Wham, Debbie Gibson and Aztec Camera are featured within 101 songs with a couple of their greatest hits. A nice mix of artists and not a rip off as every song was huge back in day making this a super value box set at an unbelievable price for such quality. If you are a fan of 80s music then this collectionis a must have, if you were around during those 10 years, the memories will all come flooding back to you, I can guarantee it. Fully recommened, a super release! |
