Whenever i get a new sasha mix i get really excited as i know he will be pushing the bounderies with new sounds. Sasha was the best at epic progressive house and pushed it to the limit with some real mental sublime journeys, but then when you have someone pushing these sounds as he did you always have a pack of blood thirsty leaches wanting some of this fame and stature which results in everyone mixing epic progressive house and it becoming tedious and stale. Well Sasha is again pushing musical bounderies here with new sounds and superb mixing in true sasha fashion by building a sonic landscape slowly and surely giving you time to be sucked in and then taken on a beautifull journey. Now this is what I call a compilation. Taking in a disparate roster of artists indulging and colourfully succeeding in an eclectic variety of musical styles with 50 tracks it offers terrific value for money. Not least because the quality is consistently excellent. Not all the artists are signed to Rough Trade, it would be extraordinary if they were, some are mind but other labels represented include Domino, Too Pure, Wichita, Slogan and lots I’ve never heard of before.

This 2CD set is currently available at a bargain price on Amazon. It might not be too cutting edge and some of the tracks are now a year or two old but it's definitely worth picking up at a bargain price, as it's a great CD to work to.

Commercial electro house, neatly mixed and well chosen. Don't let the 'Cream' logo put you off, it's a good quality mix.
