This compilation marks the beginning of the hard house movement. Although there are some relatively cheesy tracks and recurring air horns, the catchy tunes and thumping bass lines are not to be missed. Lisa Pin-Up's CD1 is without a doubt some of the best mixing around and her inclusion of her very own "Future Acid House" and "Baddest Mutha" make it that much better. Her success shows how far hard house has come recently, led by Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, herself and Fergie. Andy Farley's contribution illustrates what real hard house is all about and he manages to keep it real. Never samey, a great mix and a must for fans of hard house.

My 1st ever album was Hard House 3 mixed by Lisa Pin-Up & Andy Farley after seeing on TV. As I was growing up through school I used to listen Helter Skelter Happy Hardcore and Hard House fits along the same line in prospective.

It has very mixed styles from Fast beats, head banging base, funky fun mixes, Rocking style & the occasional vocals sum up most of it. This album is no exception to the genre it has it all if your a Hard House fan like me then it's for your collection. I have Hard House Anthems 2 & 3, Hard House Nation 2 and Hard House 3 (which is renamed from Nation 3). I'm currently purchasing HH Nation Vol.1 and the rest of the Anthems Collection.

I'm not mad enough to anathemize a two-disc set because the tracks aren't mixed together, and I'm also not daft enough to assume that most listeners of this kind of trance frequent clubs. Nearly everyone I know who is into their electronica listens to it while at work, in the car, or at home with a beer, and blurring the edges of tracks serves no purpose in these settings. Not only is it nice to be able to tap FFWD on the CD player without the tail end of the previous number jumping over the start of the next, it's also a silent thumbs-down to that nonsense profession of "DJ".
