If you want to buy a dance ablum, make it this one. Starting off with the popular classic likes of Hey Boy, Hey Girl and with the not so well known, but brilliant, Grooveline from Blockster on cd2, it is an album not to be rekoned with. I have all the Annual albums and to this day, this one really is the best.

It mystifies me as to how the MoS can call this a collection of 'classics'. This album is purely commercial, and if you're looking for some true definitive trance music then look away. After being an avid fan of this genre for so long I was almost in tears at such a tracklist.

Let's start with the positives - and trust me, this won't take long. Tracks like 'System F - Out of the Blue', and 'Gouryella - Gouryella' certainly deserve to be on an album bearing such a title, as it's true that they have been a huge influence on the trance scene. 'William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Mix)' is another true classic, along with possibly 'Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar'.

The main negative side to this and pretty much every other MOS compilation is that 99% of the tracks have been used before. I completely agree that this is unfair and that they don't really deserve the money they make from them. However, If you forget this is a MOS CD and judge it for the music inside, this is a damn good set of CDs.

If you do not already have a "best of trance" compilation CD and you're into the genre, i strongly advise that you get this CD. The originality of track selection may be poor but when you hear all the sublime tracks like Sandstorm, Resurrection and Born Slippy perfectly mixed together, you won't regret the purchase.

Euphoria - Return to Ibiza

I know the Ibiza classics thing has been done to death, but this is a pretty decent collection of tunes.
The might sounds flawless, but thats because it is. This whole album has been mixed on a PC - time stretched, pitch shifted, edited, the full works.
Now, I don't mind this - it's a CD full of classics but together in a clever and innovative way. But the time-stretching makes the sound quality AWFUL. The whole album sounds gritty, vocals sound choppy, and wonderful sweeping strings on trance tunes just sound pitted.
A great concept, good tunes, but poorly executed.

The Ultimate Summer Dance Album

At first I thought that this album wouldn't be that good, but recently over time listening to it more often it has become one of the best albums I have in my possesion. It has tunes for everyone and it definately was the ultimate Summer album to have, it has from the classic dance tunes to the up to date and the mix of thenm on each CD is just supurbly done. I recomend any clubbing person, or anyone that likes dance music to get it.
