Release Date September 14, 1993
One of the more rounded collection of Caballe's works, this double CD set includes the touching and poignant Paraules d'amour, and the touchstone of all operatic arias, Casta Diva. Her signing is faultless, the recording good. Even the Andrew Void-Webber "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" sounds substantial when covered by Montse. But the CD booklet is deficient. No details at all.

I can wholeheartedly share Barry McCanna's enthusiasm for this brand new compilation. Fifty one tracks, very well remastered from a wide variety of sources bring you two-and-a-half hours of listening pleasure. The six Peter Yorke items, although all using the same formula invariably working towards the dramatic high note ending, are evenly spaced among the other tracks and remain astounding feats of musicianship on all counts: technique, beauty of tone and improvisatory talent (I have long cherished a 78 RPM of "Valse Vanité" / "Body and Soul").
Highly recommended!
