Im not a big fan of r & b and club music, but i liked this album!

My favourite songs on here are;
Say Somethin' - Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg
Too Little, Too Late - JoJo
Boogie 2Nite - Tweet
I'm Sprung - T-Pain
I Am Not My Hair - India Arie
We Ride - Rihanna

I hope this review helps, if i was in your shoes, i would buy it if its in a sale - but i advice you only buy it if you like both r&b and club.

This CD is excellent. Three long house mixes with tribal/latin and african influences that build and build. The first cd is upbeat and great party music-finishing on his own track love generation-this is the vibe of this album-medium paced happy/positive without being cheesy,and there is an underlying quality to these mixes with long tracks and great drums and rhythms CD 2 follows suit with a great house music set. The 3rd one is more mellow and great to chill to.Good mixing and great track selection and nothing dodgy thrown to spoil the mood makes this a very worthwhile CD to add to anyones dance collection.

The idea of a song selection voted by the public sounded like a farfetched idea as many people have different views about what dance music is. Some believe this new "cheesy" dance sound is what club music is about whilst others are diehard dance fans. Reluctant to buy this, I took the chance and I'm glad I did.
Disk 1 includes a mixture of both cheesy and decent dance music and really does reflect the highs and lows of dance music in 2005. 'Discopolis' was, for me, the strongest song on disk 1 but this album took me a few plays before I got into it. The great thing about this album is it includes club mixes and not radio edits. This makes the album sound so much stronger and more professional.

Let me start by saying I am not from the UK and i don't know most of these songs.I bought it at a virgin megastore on vacation. Some of the songs are kinda weird and boring like love generation or nine million bycicles but others are fun and catchy like push the button or i predict a riot. Here's how i rate the songs:

Hed Kandi Classics - The Definitive Funky House Collection

Ive been a fan of Hed Kandi for a few years now, and this combines a great mixture of tracks. Its nice to hear some old and new tracks, even the older tracks have been remixed to give them a new edge. Its well mixed and well compiled. I would recommend buying this as it is a true classic compilation with a bit of everything. Its one of my favourite Hed Kandi CD's and it goes down a storm when you've been partying all night!!

I listened to CD 1 and that was enough for me. When are MOS going to learn that they cant keep cranking out rubbish like this year upon year? (Well since 2001 anyway!) Give me the best tunes of the year and decent remixes on Vinyl and I will make the Annuals for you? how does that sound?
