. Like One Thousand ViolinsSearch: Love Locked Out by: 1000 Violins Release Date March 12, 2001 Former John Peel faves 1000 violins were a British psychedelia indie band of some note. Famed for their quirky titles, the band released only one Album on vinyl. Thanks to Vinyl Japan you can now hear their finest moments on this compilation. It encompasses all the singles and highlights including the wonderful "Please Don't Sandblast My House". Interestingly this compilation also illustrates that despite many line up changes, including three different lead vocalists, the quality never lets up. John Wood perculiarly sounds not unlike Marc Almond(Soft Cell) and sings on the majority of their work with real passion.
