This is a brilliant, eclectic mix of guitar based songs. OK they are not all legends and OK there are some standards not included BUT that is the beauty of it. Don't read the track list and just play it and you will be continually suprised and delighted at what you hear. Robert Cray followed by Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. Howlin' Wolf followed by Steppenwolf, Bonnie Raitt by Mayall. I bought this for my teenage son who is learning to play guitar - he loves it but he can't get it out of my machine. Buy it today and smile for the next month!

The selection from the last 40 years is well worth the money. It skims a wide range of genres. Most of the tracks are fairly hard to find on compilations, except for Silver Machine (which is in my unofficial "top 20 most over-anthologised tracks of all time").
However, many of the tracks aren't one-hit wonders. Some would fall more into the category of "biggest, and only well-known, hit by this act", which wouldn't be the snappiest of titles. There are also several artistes represented who are, or are nearly, one-hit wonders in terms of the track included here, but who had distinguished careers in other guises, e.g Peter Noone, Dave Edmunds, Chris Spedding.

Well what can i say apart from Brian May... HE ROCKS!!! I am a young rocker that owes everything in my musical library to this man. Pre Air guitar, i had no distinctive taste in music, but as soon as tie your mother down (Air guitar edit) opened, i was hooked for good. The first air guitar i have to say was my favourite out the first two (I've just ordered the third) but probably only because of the Bohemian Rhapsody. But What a range of musical magic. From the ageing might of Eric Clapton, to the Hendrix experience.
