Yes it was 2 way traffic-just as many blacks covered whites the most obvious being Otis Williams & the Charms who may have been the first with Two hearts two kisses but mainly they seemed to cover other black stars like the Jewels.
A year after Pat Boone did Two hearts Williams covered Ivory Tower off another Cincinatti artist Cathy Carr.
Why have rock critics got in in for Boone-for Godssakes he was the first rock'n'roll star on Billbaord over a year before Elvis.
I have to admit I love cover versions and songs which copy others-so much easier to digest than singer songwriters--theres a definite art in copying-ask Bob Dylan.Or even Goffin & King who managed to pass off Stephen Foster's Beautiful dreamer as their own ... Read More:

This is a good album, definaatly worth buying. The best tracks would have to be fly like and eagle by the steve miller band, cocaine by eric clapden and little sister by ry cooder. I wasn't impressed when i first heard this album but it grew on me and makes great backround music. Not essential buting but a great assent to a music collection
