Yes yes, Ministry of Sound put out plenty of albums, particularly classic ones, and seem to get plenty of flack in the reviews (!), but honestly this is brilliant. I was given Anthems I for Christmas last year, and that was pretty good, but this follow up is even better. Mostly because it digs out some of the brilliant but not often seen tracks like DReam, S Express, New Order, Orbital and Billie Ray Martin.

Discs 2 and 3 seem to be chronological as well, but it really is big tune after big tune, great if you buy only one dance album. Faithless, Livin Joy, Modjo (what a track!), Olive, Stardust, the list goes on.

I'm lovin it! Couldn't recommend it more...i'll be getting it for people for Christmas...

Cream 15 Years

Just had my new garden furniture delivered and take great pride in assembling it and putting it on the balcony then standing back and admiring it. I would feel very old and sad even though I'm only 27 would it not be for the fact that I was listening to 15 yrs of Cream whilst doing it and dancing around the flat like a loon. My boyfriend bought me this CD for our 21st month anniversary last week and I strongly suggest to anyone who used to go clubbing from 1999 onwards to get it, its amazing, tune after tune blasting out of my stereo, a real treat. I've played it over 10 times since I've got it and can guarantee I won't be tiring of it.... feel like I'm 19 yrs old all over again!

Ive been a fan of Hed Kandi for a few years now, and this combines a great mixture of tracks. Its nice to hear some old and new tracks, even the older tracks have been remixed to give them a new edge. Its well mixed and well compiled. I would recommend buying this as it is a true classic compilation with a bit of everything. Its one of my favourite Hed Kandi CD's and it goes down a storm when you've been partying all night!!

This 5 disc set represents superb value for money as every track is a classic dance tune.I like the way they have grouped certain styles of dance music together on each disc.For instance disc 2 features tunes from the late 80's and early 90's predominantly and disc 5 has a selection of trance tunes for your listening pleasure.I havnt skipped a single track whilst listening to this bad boy over the last few nights and with a 100 tunes to get through thats pretty good going.I'm also recommending the "100 Club Classics" as the perfect companion to this set and with both your in for some great tunes and great memories of dancing in smoke filled nightclubs on a Saturday night! Buy them now and turn up that bass!

This release was so fairly overlooked by most shoppers. After years of crappy compilations of old skool favourites, it's perhaps no suprise. But unlike it's counterparts, this compilation manages to avoid a simmilar fate and is, in fact, an excellent overview of the best in commercial house from the late 80's onwards. From the power-houses of vocal house [I'll try and cut back on using the 'H' word from here on] that are the first three tracks of the first disc, right through to the supreme simplicity of the instrumental tracks like 'Time to Stop' and of course the timeless 'Plastic Dreams', it's all here.

I really would recommend this to any house or dance lover. I'd especially give it the thumbs up to anyone just starting to get into house. This ... Read More:

Excuse me but if someone is appointed to write the official review they should know what they are writing about:
"A brazen attempt to tailor club culture to the Valentine's Day market and exploit the amorous side of dance music,..."
Loved up does not refer to love but the state of mind reached by enjoying the music. Hence the sub title "Uplifting Club mix". Nothing what so ever to do with Valentine's day. The person writing this review should be put back on cataloging James Last 78's.

I felt compelled to write a review of this abum having owned it for more than a year. It's constantly featured on my playlists even after all this time, and with good reason. Some other reviewers are totally missing the point of the configuration of these 3 cd's. They are only intended as a celebratory snapshot of Hed Kandi's glittering past and do a dam good job of it. I admit to being a long-time kandi follower but I will be perfectly ready to slate an album if it fails my expectations. This one however, doesn't. Quite frankly, I don't care that I don't get the full versions of all the songs - its just means they get to put more top quality tunes on without wasting time on intros. I'm a sucker for the DH series - the songs are so BIG and brassy. Another consistent offering from Mark Doyle who, in choosing the opener "Take Me Home" has surely picked one of the most catchy 'can't-get-it-out-of-your-head' moments in Kandi history. Played this disc to death on hols in Majorca and Ibiza earlier this year and EVERYONE ended up singing along.

But it doesn't dtop there - how can anyone not get up and dance to stuff like "Rockin' Music", "Mad Love For Ya" and "A Higher Place". All classics.

That really says it all about the DH series and this disc in particular - put in on and GROOVE. Yet another to highly recommend.

Latin House Sessions

These albums will definitely get you up on the dance floor - or most likely your living room! A strange selection at times though and loses a star for the odd slip-up. WHY is Booker T & the MG's on this? I've been listening to a lot of modern latin music recently and there are some real gems here. There are also some heavy dance beats with a latin flavour so there should be something for everybody. As an earlier reviewer has said, it may not strictly be House, but who cares?

I put a compilation of the three discs together, leaving out what I thought were the duff tracks and came up with two discs of one hour each - but that was my personal choice and you may disagree.
