. Delighted with Harps [CASSETTE]Search: Marry Me by: Sileas Release Date January 05, 1993 I enjoyed to listen to these songs or music, as some of them are instrumental. These are songs from Gaelic Scotland played softly, yet vigorously by two musicians who happen to be so delighted with their harps as with the Gaelic tradition. When we start hearing these songs we become delighted as well, not only by the sound but also by the environment created. Close your eyes and think of dusty (or muddy) streets and forest roads, men on horse and Highlanders kidnapping girls. You'll feel you are there, Scotland, 17th or 18th century. The duet group name was taken of Sìleas na Ceapaich, a gaelic poet from the 18th century. The major negative note I could point it is the not so good sequence of songs, that does not follow a continuum. |

Dittersdorf - Arcifanfano, King of FoolsSearch: Marry Me from: Vai Release Date November 01, 2000 Having purchased this item myself I have to comment that the musical performance itself was very good, but the points which disappointed me are that not many authentic aspects of the performance were kept. Firstly, the performance was sung in English changed from its original Italian, and certain parts of the libretto were altered from the original plot to give it an American twist!! I'm not sure what other people would think, but if you are going to perform something do it properly! |
