I often feel that Christmas Carols sound a bit plodding and even dull - but not with Jessye Norman singing them. I originally ordered this CD because it was the only one of Ms Norman's recordings thatI could find that featured 'O Holy Night' - it was worth buying just for that track. But the whole thing is wonderfully uplifting and beautifully sung and played by all involved. The 'O Come,o come Emanuel', 'Silent Night' and 'Adeste fideles' along with 'O Holy Night' are magical.
