Pleased to hear the TV recordings from 1968 - a good mix to suit everyone's taste, I particularly like his rendition of 'Where could I go but to the Lord' vocals are excellent and you can feel the atmosphere of the session he really puts everything into the songs and has the girls screaming with delight. I can't add anything further other than - buy it, it is brilliant to say the least. |

Beginner's Guide to GospelSearch: Oh Happy Day by: Various Artists Release Date January 24, 2005 This should be a great compilation, and does indeed feature some cracking tunes (especially Andrae Crouch's stonking 'You Gave To Me' and Al Green's 'Higher Plane'), but is renderend virtually unlistenable (at least to my ears) my the fact that every track sounds like an MP3 recorded at 96kbps. A terrible shame; Nascente really should know better. |
