Having been a fan of Midnight Oil since the late 1970s, I rate this
CD as of their best. It followed a few weaker efforts and emerged towards
the end of their very long career, so before hearing it I wasn't expecting much. But it and the EP 'Bird Noises' are the only Oils CDs I still enjoy.
This CD came out when Australian politics had turned right wing populist and ugly. The independent, anti-immigrant politician Pauline Hanson was stalking the land. This was the Oils eloquent response. The previous
