Katie has a remarkable voice which blends perfectly with her instrumental skills. Her performance works well with various music styles from the faster Scottish/Celtic pieces to the slower Celtic Folk and modern ballads. We were fortunate enough to have Katie sing at our wedding in Scotland and she was quite remarkable, having arranged two songs of our choice just for the occasion. (Thanks again Katie)

In some ways, I came to Charlotte's music in a slightly more unconventional way than to other artists - I bought ON YOUR SHORE a few years ago, played it a few times before deciding it wasn't for me and then donating it to charity. Then, within the last year, I rediscovered her. I put this down to my fairly recent change in musical appreciation; in my younger days I was heavily into boy bands and pop/rock music. Only recently have I grown to appreciate a maturer sound, inspired by my love of Tori Amos. Now, Charlotte Martin is another female artist that I believe to be one of the most overlooked, especially in England.
