Kind of a greatest hits CD i suppose, but live! Unlike live albums ive heard in the past, its not just the fans cheering over the top of the cd version of the song. This album ranks up there with KISS - Alive. Features the late great Joe C, and former Kid Rock DJ Uncle Kracker, along with Paradime and the red neck woman that is Miss Gretchen Wilson. Not only is it the only live album thats been released in ages, its a dam good one at that too! Coming from a fan of Aerosmith, Gun's N Roses, Kiss and so on, i would highlighy recommend it!

This album was my first Kid Rock purchase, in fact it was the first time I had listened to him. The reason I bought it was he got a mention on the song 'Son of the South' by David Allen Coe. I am a huge fan of southern rock and country rock.

To my delight the first track on the album is a rocked up version of this song titled 'Son of Detroit'!

The content is a mix of rock and rap. The cover warns of explicit lyrics and means it. Fans of Madonna and Brittney may not be too impressed, although few of them will be reading this review.

I enjoyed this whole album, but 2 other songs made it for me. 'Motherf***er Quite Like Me' is semi-autobiographical. He takes a verse from Skynyrd's 'Free Bird' and sings it ... Read More:

Very disappointed with this CD. I have never heard anything but brilliant from DAC, but this one certainly wasn't to his usual standard. He almost sounds like he isn't enjoying singing which isn't like him at all. Almost to the point of being "lazy".

Pickin' on Kid Rock: A Badass Tribute

Well this cd is certainly interesting. The Amazon title says "Pickin' on Kid Rock: A Badass Tribute", but the cd ACTUALLY says "A Badass Bluegrass Tribute", which I didn't notice when I purchased the cd.
I normally steer clear of tribute albums unless it's someone I REALLY like, in this case Kid Rock comes into that category. Like I said, the cd is interesting. It is bluegrass country instrumentals of some of Kid Rock's biggest hits. Yes, you read that right - INSTRUMENTALS. In a way it works as there are no cheesy hillbilly vocals, so it doesn't come off all Hayseed Dixie, but it's almost like a redneck karaoke disk. The guys who recorded the cd are obviously very talented musicians and should be putting their talent to something better. ... Read More:
