As a follow-up to the excellent "Tranceformer", mixed by an unnamed DJ, this sequel was released with mixes by Mauro Picotto and Lange.
Early releases of this compilation contained an error - CD1 and CD2 were labelled the wrong way round. So after a bit of confusion (the giveaway was when "Lizard" played instead of "Toca Me"), I settled down to listen to the discs.
Mauro Picotto mix:
I've never been a big fan of Picotto to be honest. But this mix is fairly poor - tracks such as "Ice 794" and the brilliant "Heaven Scent" get about a minute's airtime each, the mixing leaves a lot to be desired and it's too banging.
Picotto has been allowed to play a mix that consists almost entirely of his own material, ... Read More:

DiscoTech was the very first Gatecrasher compilation I happened to purchase and is by far my favourite. There hasn't been a single Gatecrasher compilation that I haven't enjoyed, yet this one seems to really grab your emotions and tickle those musical buds.
The introduction to the compilation on CD 1 by Leftfield's "Afrika Shox" really does deviate from what the rest of the compilation is about. On first hearing it I wasn't so sure of it's successs, but after a couple of tries it really is good. It reminds me of some of the stuff that Fatboy Slim has produced. Gatecrasher is trying to set the scene with the vocals "Let's Get Electrified", which coincides really well with the design booklet.

A very good compilation of some of the best dance tunes from the 90's and this decade. The only reason I'm not buying this is because I already have the majority of the tracks.
Release Date July 16, 2007
The main negative side to this and pretty much every other MOS compilation is that 99% of the tracks have been used before. I completely agree that this is unfair and that they don't really deserve the money they make from them. However, If you forget this is a MOS CD and judge it for the music inside, this is a damn good set of CDs.
If you do not already have a "best of trance" compilation CD and you're into the genre, i strongly advise that you get this CD. The originality of track selection may be poor but when you hear all the sublime tracks like Sandstorm, Resurrection and Born Slippy perfectly mixed together, you won't regret the purchase.
