I could wax lyrical about the choice of artists and tracks but prefer to just say BUY IT!!! There is a big HOWEVER, which I have to add and that is a dissappointment in the packaging and information. I can't fault the music so have had to give a 5 star rating but unfortunately, a person with 20/20 vision would have difficulty reading the track list and there is also a loose leaf track list of which the print is also minute. Those Were The DaysSearch: Outside Woman Blues by: Cream Release Date June 02, 2008 This could so easily have been a truly complete collection of all the authorised Cream material but instead of giving us all the live tracks they wasted space with ex-demo tracks of marginal importance. The omission of one of the live versions of 'Politician', from 'Goodbye Cream', one of their finest performances, is unforgivable and means that it is obvious that no-one new to Cream should buy this as a short cut to a complete collection. After all it's not even cheap to buy the (almost) 'complete' Cream this way. It's more economical to buy all 6 original albums which are now cheap and easy to get. But there are two other ommissions as well. If they wanted to give everyone a reason to buy this set they should have gone about putting together this ... Read More: |
