Let's face it - 99% of people buying this album will be Squeeze fans and collectors. That's not a good thing or a bad thing, it's just a fact. As a result, it's not easy to be objective and class this album as a stand-alone work from a new artist, instead, it's impossible not to view it as the latest offering from an artist we've known and listened to for over 25 years. Squeeze were not Glenn Tilbrook, of course, but they weren't far off. He wrote the tunes, sang nearly all of the words, played a mean lead guitar and was practically fronting the band for a very long time. Squeeze did boast the best wordsmith in the UK as well (Chris Difford), they also had Jools & Paul Carrack playing the keyboards for most of the time - 2 ridiculously ... Read More:
