I'm not sure what's gone wrong here, but the cover illustrated does not stack up with the contents listed, which appear to be piano medleys! My Pulse 2-CD set, which is what I'm reviewing, contains 40 tracks by the Savoy Hotel Orpheans, directed by Carroll Gibbons, as follows:
On The Air
Strike Up The Band (AL)
Life Is Nothing Without Music (GM)
I Get A Kick Out Of You (AL)
I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm (GM)
I Stumbled Over Love (AL)
This Year's Kisses (AL)
Too Marvellous For Words (GM)
Only Forever (AL)
Can I Forget You? (GM)
The Ferryboat Serenade (AL)
Deep Purple (GM)
In A Little Rocky Valley (AL)
Scatterbrain (AL/EW)

This is a distillation of an earlier 3-CD set from Avid, about which I wrote a rave review at the time. It's a fascinating compilation, which makes up a chronological journey through Al's recording career. If you were lucky enough to buy the earlier set then there's nothing here that wasn't issued earlier, but if you missed out then grab this now. It's the ideal introduction to the supreme singer, and excellent value for money.

Having reviewed a 25-track single CD some years ago, I was very pleased to see this double CD released, which not only contains far more tracks, but also comes at a lower price. Maybe this reflects the state of the music industry, but whatever the reason, this is a real bargain. However, if you're a chart completist, please note that while that single CD (Very best of Ronnie Hilton) contains all of his UK hits, this compiulation omits three of them (Stars shine in your eyes, A woman in love, I may never pass this way again). Exactly why they were omitted, I can only guess. The cynic in me suggests that the record label wants to tempt people to buy both compilations. Surely not?
