This album is AWESOME! it really is.

It had been ages, possibly even years since i bought a proper mainstream compilation CD but wen i saw the advert for this, i only bought it for one or two songs. i listened to all 3 discs and it really is awesome. Lots of tracks worth your time, very few fillers but even they feel like a bridge rather than a waste.

I even played this album at work and had many customers asking about it!

This is a 2 CD set, disk 1 is by far the best and although if you know your rave stuff you will know all the fairly commercial tracks on here, it works well as a mix and the tracks flow together quite well making it good to listen to in the car or when you want something not too heavy. Disk 2 is poor, to me it is unlistenable, with rock bands trying to play rave covers and other dodgy electronic stuff thats all quite heavy and tuneless. Bring back samplers I say so people will start making creative music again. Worth the cheap price at the moment for CD1.

So here we have an attempt to revisit the late 1980's. The time when there was a joyous explosion and development in dance orientated music that was as vibrant as it was varied. The time before genres become ever increasingly split and became the preserve of small self-interested groups. This was a time when you could walk in to your local record shop and look at a 'dance chart' and see a single chart containing the likes of A Guy Called Gerald, KC Flyte, Sugar Bear and Humanoid. Clubber's Guide Summer 2006

For me, an occassional fan of trance music, this was a rash purchase. Every year hoards of compilation dance remixed albums are released and you never know which one to buy. Those you do usually grow on you or you hate. This one grew on me and I'm finding favourites on it all the time - right now I'm addicted to a surprising one, the remix of Paul Oakenfold and Brittany Murphy's Faster Kill Pussycat.

It sports jems like the original Walking Away by The Egg and remixes of Bronski Beat tracks.

If you need some good loud music, great 80s mixes or just some background music I'd recommend this for you!
