The Chill Out Album Vol.1: a Late Night MixSearch: Protection by: Various Artists Release Date February 22, 1999 I probably listened way too much of it until almost got bored but overall this was the best album for me ever. Even better than Dark Side of the Moon (though not same genre of music). Its classy, fun, upbeat if anything. I did have to disable a number of tracks I didnt like but out of such huge selection it didnt feel like a loss. Still this brilliant album kept me awake many nights while I was building a few kewl websites - - Maybe the songs are older now but still you wont regret it - its way toooo cooool !!!! |

Beach Bar CultureSearch: Protection by: Various Artists Release Date July 26, 2004 I bought this as I wanted some chillin' open air stuff mixed with some more up-tempo beats - it succeeds in the former department but not the latter. The music is almost uniformally excellent, but the collection loses a star for the way it was put together. Disc 1 is 'Sunshine' - yet I'm not entirely sure if I should be dancing or chilling at times. If the opening tracks of a disc are supposed to give you a flavour of it, that doesn't happen here. First few tracks are very Indie - really upbeat and quirky - great fun. But then that's the end of it. We move into (equally enjoyable) chill territory, peppered with the odd dance beat.
