I only had a limited amount of money to download this album so i previewed each track hoping for a weak track to reduce my price... but there wasn't a single one- at least for the first ten tracks. Even the intro was atmospheric and a perfect scene-setter( it exemplifies the importance of a strong intro). This album has tons of metaphors of chess-playing and if you think back to all the rappers you know, MF DOOM, Nas, Jay-Z, Murs, Del, Guru... hell, any rapper or rap group out there (that I know at least), there isn't anyone better to weave an album of tact, guessing, double-guessing, twists, efficiency and elegance, who else would you want behind the mic? Some say he's washed up but form is temporary - class is permanent.

I'll keep this simple. Th Guitars are heavy and the riffs very complex, the drums are extreamly brutal with the perfect death metal drum patern of base drum-snare-base-snare-base-snare. The Vocals are very low, low enough to be grindcore but they are not muffled like many grindcore voices. You will occasionaly hear some high pitch yells from the drummer which makes a welcome change.

Don't think that because they appear to be unknown and unrated that they are bad. My persuasive reasons are that they were on a plainly hardcore label and split up arfter this relase, being their debut. So they were never around long enough to gain recognition. Believe me, these guys would have become big had they stayed together. The label was Facedown Records ... Read More:
