Search: Push The Feeling On - Nightcrawlers (1)
by: Roger Sanchez
Release Date June 11, 2007
Very nearly a 4 star rating.
It's let down by CD1 being a little bit too laid back for my liking.
Last years Release Yourself was something special, so this years edition had a lot to live up to.
And whilst CD1 may not be to my fancy, CD2 is much better and typifies what the S-Man is about.
Highlights include Basement Jaxx, Bebe Brown, Agent Greg and a few others.

For me, this was a good purchase. There are hardly any songs I dont like on it, as so happens often with these compilations. It is my first hed kandi CD box that I have bought though and usually steer clear of them. This could change my mind. I particularly like Byron Stingily (Get up everybody) and of course I want your soul by Armand Van Helden. Dont buy if you want something less commercial (although trust me it isnt that commercial!!) mind you if you have a clue what is, then you shouldnt be looking at these CD's anyway!

You know what you get with Ministry, and as long as you can accept some obvious tunes chucked in to the mix, rarely are you left dissapointed.
Some great tracks included, worthy of a particular mention are the love it / hate it Samim - Heater, Dave Armstrong - Love Has Gone, Mark Knight Feat. Luciana From Portobella - Party Animal (Vandalism Remix), Jon Fitz - You'll See Me, Cor Fijneman - Jaguar + CRW's I Feel Loved (Aaron McClelland Remix).

I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.
When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?
