Before i went to see the show i had reservations, musicals about bands or famous people where something that i believed were denying the true meaning of a musical. However, this musical, although based on the music of one band is NOT about the band itself and as i am struggling to explain to a stubborn co worker, that makes all the difference. The music is updated and very very good. Granted the CD can never be as good as the show live but it makes a good attept and comes quite close.

I really wasn't sold on this album... until I got a surround sound system. God knows if it was entirely intentional, I'm not the most technologicaly minded person, but it seems this album was created with surround sound as a focal point. To me it's just as effective, if not even more so, than Zaireeka. Maybe I'm biased because I just wanted something to show off my new sound system but by god, from what I've got available to me, this truly shines.

Its a memory jogger and I have made my own mix on CD by using original songs in the order of the show, NOW THAT ROCKS.

Well what can i say apart from Brian May... HE ROCKS!!! I am a young rocker that owes everything in my musical library to this man. Pre Air guitar, i had no distinctive taste in music, but as soon as tie your mother down (Air guitar edit) opened, i was hooked for good. The first air guitar i have to say was my favourite out the first two (I've just ordered the third) but probably only because of the Bohemian Rhapsody. But What a range of musical magic. From the ageing might of Eric Clapton, to the Hendrix experience. Personal favourites include Thin Lizzy fronted by the black rose Phil Lynott, The Clash, possibly the best Punk band ever, and obviously the best band ever, Queen who i have seen twice fronted by Free and Bad Company rocker Paul Rodgers ...
