Wow, they've actually made an album worth listening to in the car. With a great variety of dance tracks, there must be something for everyone on this album, with the exception of Boogie Pimps - Somebody to Love.
Disc 1 is one brilliant, really summer sounds, all from a couple of years ago. Its got Firestarter - Prodigy on it, perfect for Road rage in my opinion.
Disc 2 is also pretty good, with a few newer song on it, the excellent ATB tract (9pm) till i come.
This is a must for all dance fans as well as drivers looking for a descent CD with out forwarding a load of tracks to get to a decent song.

101 songs for £price? That sounds like a pretty good deal I thought - turns out that all but a few are absolutely fantastic! I've gotta say i'm useless at remembering names of songs - especially dance music - which is why I often find it hard to decide what CDs to buy and quite often decide not to buy anything at all! But this CD was worth the risk - its absolutely fantastic - whether you prefer trance classics, trance or house anthems or club anthems you really can't go wrong - because each CD is fantastic - absolutely amazing - buy it now and sit by the letter box until it arrives!

Somebody Told Me That This Album Would Blow!(Cheessy...Yes) But I Listened To It And It Is Absolutely Fantastic! The Killers - Somebody Told Me (Mylo Mix)Is Superb. Although Some Of The Songs Have Already Been Played Out On Previous Ministry Of Sound CD'S, Nonetheless This 3-CD Compilation Is Just Worth It.

Like the below reviews, when I first got this CD I was disapointed. Anthems Of Trance suggests a good couple of hours of hard basslines, euphoric basslines and quality mixing. So when the CD belted out some dancey classics that verged on the edge of trance I was a little disapointed.

However, when listening to this CD you will find so many forgotten songs that you will have grown up with if you were a 90's/ early 00's teen.

Classic anthems such as Rank 1 - Airwave, Firewire and The Theme by Jurgen Vries, ensure this CD is a short education on the recent history of the mainstream side of progressive electronic music.

I used to love the Breakdown Series, but they have gone far too commercial - where can i ever get a decent house compilation that isn't full of chart rubbish!!!

some of these songs are two years old, some more. Shame on MOS for buying out another once great name anmd turning it into pop.

Hmm the compilation album: something for everyone or just enough to whet the appetite but leave you wondering what happened to the main course?

Well Funky Divas - The Autumn Collection is actually pretty good. Claiming to be the very best in soul, dance and R&B, it contains mostly recent chart R&B hits, including the newly Mercury crowned Ms Dynamite, JLo, and the ubiquitous Alicia Keys. As with most compilations everyone will have their personal favorites and mine are here in the form of Ashanti's "Foolish" and Blu Cantrell's "Hit 'em up style".

Inevitably, there seem to be a few fillers, as tracks by Leann Rimes and Natalie Imbruglia don't really fit into any of the categories. They're good songs but they just don't fit into the ... Read More:

The choice of tunes on this compilation may have been a little predictable: iio's "Rapture", Ralphie B's "Massive" etc...have been heard many times elsewhere but considering how good they are, I do not begrudge Paul Van Dyk including them.

Right, that's the "average" part of the compilation dealt with, now on to why it is the best DJ mix compilation I have heard:

As expected, this is mostly a trance style compilation. But this is different from most. PvD's own Autumn typifies the more relaxed - yet still great to dance to - trance music that PvD has preferred.
