I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.
When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

All credit to all concerned (particularly Alan Bremner who Mixed and Engineered the thing), this is an enjoyable mix of old house classics, many of which if you'll probably have on vinyl or whatever (if you're old and ugly enough!). Alan's Leftfield and Young MC mash up on CD1 is definitely a highlight for me.

This 3 CD Album Is packed full of club/Chart Anthems. Not one duff filler in there.A lot of 2007 hits. The track mixes are good and fade throughs are short and spot on.Makes it hard not to get lazy and play the whole CD through at one Gig.:-)

The main negative side to this and pretty much every other MOS compilation is that 99% of the tracks have been used before. I completely agree that this is unfair and that they don't really deserve the money they make from them. However, If you forget this is a MOS CD and judge it for the music inside, this is a damn good set of CDs.
If you do not already have a "best of trance" compilation CD and you're into the genre, i strongly advise that you get this CD. The originality of track selection may be poor but when you hear all the sublime tracks like Sandstorm, Resurrection and Born Slippy perfectly mixed together, you won't regret the purchase.

Not in the same quality as the album 'Rush Hour', released about 2/3 years ago. Yes, most of those tracks we've heard about a million times are here (ie sandstorm) and since their are no tracks which are particularly hard to find elsewhere, you might as well dig out your old cd's and just put together your own complimation! And if your really tempted, buy 'Mixcraft' for under a tenner, and mix the mp3's yourself in minutes!
There you go, another way to save handing over fifteen quid to Ministry, for the second time this month! (trance nation 'classics')

For me, this was a good purchase. There are hardly any songs I dont like on it, as so happens often with these compilations. It is my first hed kandi CD box that I have bought though and usually steer clear of them. This could change my mind. I particularly like Byron Stingily (Get up everybody) and of course I want your soul by Armand Van Helden. Dont buy if you want something less commercial (although trust me it isnt that commercial!!) mind you if you have a clue what is, then you shouldnt be looking at these CD's anyway!

Acknowledging all the other reviews that reinforce the point of this being a classic revisit of some of the last 10 years' biggest tunes, I really want to outline that Ministry of Sound ownership also represents possibly the biggest thorn in Euphoria's side.
If we take a look at the first Euphoria albums, we can see some real honesty and new ground there. Seldom-heard-of-on-mix-compilations talent like PF Project, Matt Darey, Agnelli&Nelson and Jay Burnett, these guys were given a task to put together an album that said what they wanted to say. The Euphoria album cover would proudly proclaim who had mixed it (and even how - some albums were "digitally mixed" i.e. on a computer rather than by all-hands-on-decks) and each album had ...
