The good news about this collection is that only five tracks have already appeared on the rival "Now 57" issued at Easter. The bad news, for mainstream listeners, is that those five are just about the best tracks on it. The rest are either third or fourth choice releases off last year's albums (eg by Beyonce, Dido, Christina, Darkness), or decidely second division pop and dance tracks that, if they made the chart at all, have long since sunk without trace; at the time of writing only six in all are listed in the Top 40.

Of course the quality of material in the singles charts over the last three months has left a lot to be desired, and I suppose therefore this compilation reflects this quite well. Considering it costs little more than ... Read More:

I think that this is actually quite a good mixture of music. Its hard to keep everyone happy, but as far as compilations go this one is very well put together! ok there are one or two unfortunate tracks,but the rest is definatly acceptable!

Initially you assume that a Brit Awards CD would have British artists on, of which it does have plenty, but for my liking far too many non-UK acts have been added to the CD. However this isn't necassarily a great problem because of which songs that arent British, they are of a very high standard, releases from 50 Cent, Kanye West and the incredibly infectious songs from Usher.

Every award genre is represented on this CD, however this is one of the two possible downfalls of the album. Even though these songs are undoutbedly the best 'pop' songs of last year, the variety is simply too great and any listener would be forced to skip through several tracks to get to another one they wish to listen to.

This album will forever go down as Kylie's 'R&B/Urban' album and yes, it is true the record dabbles heavily in this genre, but crucially, Kylie retains her pop sensibilities thorughout resulting in an album that is immaculately produced and contains some of her most unique, adventurous work.

Slow, the lead single is all subtle electronica with a deliciously whispered vocal, the fact it reached number is inspiring as Kylie took a big risk releasing this song after the super-commercial sound of Fever.

Fever was a fantastic album, but we didnt need Fever II and Body Language is not that at all... Some really cool tracks including the outstanding Red Blooded Women and Chocolate. She gets critiscised on this album for trying to be "different", this is Kylie's musical nature and it still produced 3 top ten hits including a number one single!! Cant be that bad eh??
