. Millennium CollectionSearch: Rescue Me by: Wishbone Ash Release Date Haven't actually bought this album, but it seems to contain the two live albums Mother of Pearl and Live in Chicago. The track listing of this double album is identical to the listings of the two live albums mentioned. Mother of Pearl is a recording from the 70s, with Laurie Wisefield on guitar along with original band members Andy Powell, Martin Turner and Steve Upton. Live In Chicago is a stunning recording, from the early 90s, featuring Andy Powell and Ted Turner on guitar, containing some of the classic Argus tracks, the superb Living Proof and a number of tracks from the three albums which were recorded following the band's reunion in the late 80s/early 90s. . Mother of Pearl - LiveSearch: Rescue Me by: Wishbone Ash Release Date April 07, 1998 The mid 1970s were a golden era for Wishbone Ash. After the success of their album "Argus" and the eventual replacement of founder member Ted Turner with Laurie Wisefield, the so-called "Mark II" band never failed to produce a cracking live show. I was at one such gig at the Liverpool Empire in 1975 or 76 (can't remember which). This live album was mostly recorded in Liverpool in 1976, so I just had to get a copy. And I was very glad I did. The performance is excellent, starting off with some rockers ("Helpless" - the only track recorded elsewhere - "Runaway" and "Warrior"), followed by a selection of quieter songs.
