I got this about a week ago, I had been lisening to Bonkers for years and wanted a change, and I wasnt to sure about it as the last Helter Skelter I got Wasnt really hardcore (Helter Skelter Vs Raindance presents Rave Nation) apart from the third disc which was entitled "UK Hardcore". When I got this, I put on CD one (as you do) and I was sketchy as it just was not Hardcore, It was too slow and it sounded more like Drum & Bass. Then I played CD 2 and as the first song started to play I began to realize this was nothing like the first disc, this disc blew me away, song after song was amazing! It was true hardcore. MOS never disappoints me. As a big house/chillout/lounge fan, this cd combines all those 3 to perfection. So if you're into thid kind of music then you have to get this. cd 1 is good, but CD 2 for me is fantastic since i enjoy each song and i can just press play on my car stereo and forget about it. Square Funkin by D Drive & Funkagenda is amazing on high volume! 5 STARs

hate to say this but my fears were proven about this compilation. Ministry Of Sound started as the one of the biggest club labels going, but sinse has become far too comercialised, and sadly this is no different.

The name is dead on, this is funky house, but far too commercial for true house music fans. CD1 is very commercial, yet probably the best with some good track choices, Hi tack, Joey Negro, Studio B and Filterfunk tracks are all really good, would have like to have seen them remixed not just mixed but still very listenable

CD2 tries to appeal to the house purists but falls short. There is no life or enegery to the track selection, with sketchy mixing as well (not a lot better than what your cross fading on media players do) ... Read More:

Taste of Kandi, a - Summer 2006

OK - not quite as strong as the 2004 and 2005 Summer Samplers, this mix still has some pretty banging tracks. Standouts are Speechless, a groovy jazzy offering from Mish Mash, and Say You Will, a thumping, "Sweet Dreams" sampling floor-filler from Green Velvet.

This has inspired me to load up the rest of the Hed Kandi stuff onto the iPhonePod thing for Summer ...
