Release Date August 29, 1995
"The Road Home" represents not just a one-shot unplugged performance but a series of intimate concerts Heart performed at "The Backstage," a 500-seat club in the summer of 1994. Producer John Paul Jones not only wrote arrangements for a four-piece string section, but performed piano, bass and mandolin on some of the tracks as well. I dont actually have this on CD, but a limited edition gold vinyl. But, god this is a good album. Basically, its a best of Motorhead, but live, so you get the usual crowd/band banter, and the added bonus of most songs being played faster. I think the fact that Metal Hammer included it their ".. what you havent got..." section says it all really!

A great album, everyone will know "Ace of Spades" but "love me like a reptile" "fast and loose" and "road crew" still regularly appear on the live set of the loudest rock and roll band in the world. If you want fast and furious you want this album.
