Dr Feelgood was (is) a bar band. A pub rock band. They played short, unpretentious rock songs, muscular and melodious R&B loaded with crunching guitar riffs...you must've heard their renditions of "See You Later, Alligator" and "Violent Love".
These forty tracks are really everything that the casual Feelgood fan needs. "Roxette" is here, as is "Keep It Out Of Sight", "No Mo Do Yakamo", "Sugar Turns To Alcohol", "Milk & Alcohol" and every other well-known song, including four from the post-Brilleaux album "On The Road Again". Not every song may be of the caliber of "Roxette" or the other classic hits, but there is certainly nothing bad on here.
I'm sure that some dedicated fans can find good some albums tracks missing, ... Read More:

Together with the twofer Shotgun/Soul Session this pair of CDs collect all the studio material released by Junior Walker and the All-Stars in the sixties, including both sides of all three singles they recorded for the Harvey label in 1962 and 1963, before it was swallowed up by the Motown empire. There was also the album Live! in 1967. This was briefly made available on a CD which now fetches over £100 a copy.
Junior Walker had spent many years honing his individual style during the fifties, inspired by players such as Illinois Jacquet and Earl Bostic, and playing in bands like the Jumping Jacks before being discovered by Johnny Bristol and introduced to Harvey Fuqua, the ex-Moonglow singer who was running his own label.

This is a more technical comment on this re-release - obviously this is a full five star album, genius at its very height, etc.
However having listened closely to the "Deluxe" (2-CD) version of Who's Next against the earlier 1995 "Remixed and Digitally Remastered" (1-CD) version - they ain't the same (if you use iTunes, use Apple Lossless - you'll never go back to MP3, BTW - or FLAC with other players). The track lengths give this away, but on a good system, and particularly with good headphones, you will be able to tell the difference easily. Essentially the Deluxe sounds like a remaster only - i.e. taken from the original stereo master tapes, and a harsh one at that - whereas the 1995 version is clearly a remix from the original multitrack ...
