Bibio's followup to their equally excellant debut Fi this year has been more than most impressive. Bibio stands apart from any kind of folk-psych stuff ine could name mostly because Bibio sounds so entirely different from anything else in the genre. Using hand made intruments, baryard equiptment, & whatever else, Bibio combines these most unlikely primary sources and summons forth from them the feeling of living in a pastoral painting that the british progger Caravan might have taken residence in back in their earlier days. These composistions are always having at least 5 touches of sounds in motion, curling, & interacting with everything else in a almost Philip Glass-esque way, but of course again with sounds unlike anyone but Bibio ... This is my favourite film and i cannot not believe that the best bit of soundtrack was not included in the cd. Where Herbert is playing the piano at the Vampire Ball.

I am dissappionted where can i get a copy of Krzyszot Komeda music including this.

Whilst on holiday in the US I stumbled on Jackie Greene's CD Gone Wanderin'. Jackie is a talented young (about 25) singer songwriter who plays guitar, piano and harmonica with an ability and character that belies his young age. He has often been compared to Dylan and Waits although his singing style is not like either. If you like Ryan Adams, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Steve Earl, the blues or country you are likely to like this guy. "Gone Wanderin'" is a great place to start with Jackie's stuff although both this CD and "Rusty Nails" are also brilliant. After buying one CD you can buy all his other albums and the DVD just as I have… Give the guy a break and buy this CD or one of the others before he becomes famous.

They wanted to be the band that appeared in every party sceene in every groovy movie. To play the funky tracks that accompany so many zaney cartoon car chases.To be the composers of facinating spy film sound tracks.To party like its nineteen sixty nine.
This, the third of five Corduroy albums realize’s many of these ambitions. Funny, funky, fast and furious.
This was partly achieved by generic song writing. But most probably the Corduroy sound was based around throbing Rickenbacker Bass guitar riffs. And they had one of the best bassists in the world ever. And one of the best looking.
