I ordered this compilation which is the collection the singles of Adam Ant with the Ants and on his own. I rate it highly. I think it is great. It includes not only Adams greatest hits but his other hits, his singles before the Ants were famous some unreleased songs and demo versions of songs. Its great to hear the songs. If you are an ant fan like me you would love this. Is interesting to hear also other songs and demo versions of two songs before they were altered.It comes with a good colour booklet with with comments from the artists about each song, other information and some interesting photos some not seen before.

first of all, there was a brilliant LaserDisc released of A&tA's material, which could have been ported over to DVD... but NO! Sony/BMG decided to release this on the cheap as a throwaway bonus DVD to sell some rehashed "best of" CD. with just a little more effort, we could have gotten a much better presentation! there are a lot of videos missing (Desperate But Not Serious, anyone? hello!?!?! a major hit... where's the video???) but aside from the 6 missing vids, the sound quality is horrible! i think they used tin cans and string! a little beefed up audio would have killed your profit margin?
i suggest you pick this up at a second-hand shoppe, and pay no more than 2 or 3 quid.

Sadly, when this album came out in 1989, Adam Ant was well on his way to "Where Are They Now?" status. While this album's predecessor, "Vive Le Rock" generated the hits "Apollo 9" and the title track, the five year gap between albums proved costly to Adam's ability to sell albums. By 1989/1990, Antmusic in the USA was all but forgotten.

One thing I like about Adam is that he's a huge Marc Bolan (T. Rex) fan, and it shows in his image and music. Like Bolan, Adam's albums from "Prince Charming" to "Wonderful" have shown various shifts in style. "Prince Charming" and "Friend or Foe" = the Dandy; "Strip"= The Romantic; "Viva Le Rock"= Space Age Cowboy;" and "Manners & Physique"= 90's GQ model.

It's "gotta be a sin" that this material was kept under wraps for so long! A truly "wonderful" collection of Ant tracks! The booklet is superb (although lyrics would have been nice) and well done. Some songs were worth the money just by themselves (the version of "Manners and Physique" on the CD is one of the very best Adam has ever done). How can you not get some amusement out of "A.N.T.S."? Some of the earlier stuff was a bit hard for me to listen to and made me glad Adam switched strategy! But overall, an excellent item well worth the time and money to track down! So unplug the jukebox and run out for your AntBox!
