After reinventing himself as Ebe Sneezer & the Epidemics the real John D Loudermilk emerged and ended up by the end of the 60s with a couple of 100 songs some of them covered Worldwide.
He had hit singles in his own right-Language of Love and Road Hog-and wasn't that particular how he wrote the music-which was many times from public domain sources.Like Road Hog which was a traditional hillbilly tune called Ground Hog.
