The main negative side to this and pretty much every other MOS compilation is that 99% of the tracks have been used before. I completely agree that this is unfair and that they don't really deserve the money they make from them. However, If you forget this is a MOS CD and judge it for the music inside, this is a damn good set of CDs.

If you do not already have a "best of trance" compilation CD and you're into the genre, i strongly advise that you get this CD. The originality of track selection may be poor but when you hear all the sublime tracks like Sandstorm, Resurrection and Born Slippy perfectly mixed together, you won't regret the purchase.

I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.

When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

Some shouldn`t have been covered though, seems to have destroyed the original songs but the majority of tracks across these 3 CD`s are really awesome, good for reviving oneself in the humidity of this hot summer, with a fan on and a beer or two...wonderful.

I don't really want to drone on about this album as i get all mushy and emotional as this was my heyday (1999) and 10 years on no other album has ever come close to summing up those years before euphoria became cheesy!.... No album has had as many quality tunes and certainly never been mixed aswell as matt darey did here... If you want an album that simply makes you feel amazing and brings back so many fond memories before euphoria was latched onto by everyone and became a cheesy money making machine this is the one if you can find it now!!!! BUY IT AND SPOIL YOURSELF AS THIS IS NEVER GOING TO BE BEATEN!

These have got to be the most underrated series of comperlations around, The newer ones seem to do well but older ones arnt given a chance, This is a top album filled to spilling point of trance with a little house and a smidgen of disco. It realy is a great little album with seamless mixes and a good summer vibe. Sums up early 99 well and left the door open for an equaly inpressive follow up in club mix 2000. I defy any trance lover to listen to this album and not like it. The highlights are 3 jays and gamesmaster but my only moan is they should have used the origanal Gamesmaster not the weaker Signum mix. Overall a great addition to any Trance lovers cd collection.
