One day a ray of sunshine came into my life. Yes, it was the music of Hall and Oats! I previously thought that Paul Carrick was the greatest songsmith of the modern age, but I was sadly mistaken.

Were they touched by the almighty, when they lifted their pens to write "The Best of Hall and Oats", I think they were. And, in my humble opinion, it is by far their greatest work to date.

Tracks 4,5,8 and 11 are all fantastic.

If you buy this today then trust me you won't be dissapointed. In fact it may change your life as it changed mine.

Joan Osborne is still best known over here in the UK for the huge hit single "(What If God Was) One Of Us", but her career is so much more than that.

From her own Blues / soul albums to a stint with the Grateful Dead to a scene stealing appearance in the rockumentary "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown" right on to the 2006 country album " Pretty Little Stranger", she has always managed to dash preconceptions and come up trumps. If you get the chance, track down one of the live recordings of the shows she performed with Phil Lesh & Friends for some truly amazing music. But, now, a year after its US release, her latest album is getting a UK release.

It's a hybrid album, part tribute / part original, almost a follow ... Read More:

Recorded by Instant Live, the sound quality is very good although the discs are blue CD-r's. The track list does not correspond in any way to what is on the CD's. I was a bit disappointed that Getaway Car and I'll Be Around aren't on the discs. I love live music and this is a very good show, but I do feel a bit let down that there are tracks missing and/or different to those listed on the ad and the inlays. Buy this disc because it is very good, but buy it because you like Hall & Oates, not because of the track listing......
