Fly Me Away is the forth single of Goldfrapp's stunning platinum selling third album, Supernature!
This one is a bit different to the glam roack tunes of Ooh La La and Ride A White Horse. Instead it's more in the same vein as Number One-a lush, warm pop song.
Alison's soft, whispery vocals drift along a dreamy soundscape of synths and electronic beats, coupled with simple but uplifting vocals. The single mix of the track is relatively similar to the album version. There are extra sounds added here and there and the track is shorter. Still worth a listen though. The artwork is amazing too-very dark compared to the song, which is a great contrast!
To sum up, Fly Me Away is one of the standout tracks on Supernature and it was ... Read More:

This album is one of my first since starting to buy vinyl again. What a joy - there are no sounds quite as pleasing to the ear as those from a good analogue system. Goldfrapp's latest is at the culmination of her (their)several attempts to get into a chilled out niche in the market and it succeeds well. All those electronic sounds and embellishments back up the vocals well and still sound great off vinyl. Perhaps a quibble though; the song/tune writing errs towards samey and did I detect a bit of Felt Mountain here and there? I guess it goes with the genre. Very good just the same for a soothing hour, with no distractions. Just need to find a way to deter that dust and fluff from finding the vinyl next. Nostalgia never changes its themes....

This album at 11 tracks long, 43 minutes, is extremely short, could've been longer but the musical quality of this album is astonishing, perfectly flawless dance music. Though beware of "Time Out From the World" and "Let It Take You" because they are nothing like the rest of the album, "Time Out From the World" is the better of the 2.
