I found this box set on tv and bought it the next day. It has been really good listening to all the old 80's tracks. It is full of all those tracks you hear on the radio and recognise and miss hearing. My daughter will not admit to listening to what she describes as 'wrinkly songs' but it is amusing to hear her sing along.
Well worth buying if you enjoy listening to songs with real catchy lyrics that are easy to understand

Arrrrrrrggghhhhh!!!. I admit it. It’s not the best start to a review but Christ on a bike it’s what I honestly thought as I stared, increasingly goggle eyed at the appalling schmaltz-fest that is “Beautiful Lovesongs”. Love songs they maybe in that they are about love …but beautiful? There is more beauty in a slag heap used as a nuclear waste dumping site surrounded by a moat of dog excrement than there is on this album.
Actually that’s not entirely fair. All the steam coming out of my ears must be clouding my vision. Nilssons “Without You” is a great song and they could have gone for that excruciating Mariah Carey abomination so that’s something I suppose. D C Lee “See The Day” ... Read More:

I've read quite a few of the reviews on here about this album and I don't think any of them do this album justice. This is another great album from a fantastic series. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the Roxette track?? Indeed, there does seem to be one or two tracks that aren't the actual 12" versions but do not let that stop you buying this fantastic album. Keep 'em coming, they're briliant.

I love music and the 1980s is my favorite decade for tunes.
"Back to the 80s" is such a great compilation, it features 40 tracks that were all huge in the day. No.1 hits such as "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell and "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" by Bonnie Tyler mix with near misses on the top spot such as Howard Jones "What Is Love". Every track on this CD is a gem, a very playable album that is essential in every good music collection and great for playing in the car.
I found out about this CD set after hearing my Uncle and Auntie playing it, they have great taste in music.
All in all i recommened that you give this disc a try if you love 80s music or great music in general. A TRIP BACK TO THE 80S!!!
