In her prime the Canadian was nothing short of wonderful, with a spiky attitude and big doe eyes and a voice that could crumble walls..then came the mediocrity of Love is a Battlefield and We belong..oh dear! Benatar made a return to patchy form with this and even tried to get us all thinking with Suffer the Little Children (simply superb). Too Long a Soldier is excellent, and cool Zero faetures a fantastic drum rock-out as an outro, whilst One Love is made for driving with the top down. Not a bad album, but not a brilliant one either. |
