For any Amnesia fans who love nights like Cocoon & Cream this compilation is for you!

From the beginning the pace is set at 135pm approx and Marco V really shines on his mixing skills and track selection. Anthems like 'Yeah', 'Automanual', 'Badaboom Badabing' & 'Netherworld' really give you that special, tingly feeling you get on the dancefloor when you hear THAT anthem for the first time. His mix is very reflective of the powerful sounds of the Cocoon night in Amnesia.

The reason why I'm knocking points off for this album is for disc two. Brian Cross' mix isn't really for me. Typical trance anthems with breathy female vocals are the order of the day and to be honest the mix is a little uninspiring. Standout tracks ... Read More:

I am not usually a Chillout music fan, but this album totally swayed me. It's brilliant for relaxation, but without being boring. Each song is totally individual yet still really haunting and calming. I can't really describe how good it is, but whatever music type you enjoy, you will still love this album.

I think this CD is a fantastic piece of anyone in to the hard house'ish' sort of scene. Some good tracks with dreamy vocals but enough pumping bass to keep you going all night long if you want to as well. Also good for that morning jolt to get you out of bed!

Now seriously, Mr Pearce - what were you thinking???!!! starting a compilation is a complicated affair, one that takes more thought than throwing in such commercial criminals as Elvis vs JXL, Love Inc and Dj Sammy. The listener is taken back a few years to the 'real ibiza' of 1998 with the truly anthemic cafe del mar, followed by one of Maxi Jazz' finest hours - insomnia. track 7-10 on cd1, seem to be almost filler tracks, although enjoyable tunes nonetheless. the first cd really takes off around track 11, IIO, Delerium, PPK, Da Hool, Darude provide the real bangers on this compilation, before things are taken a little darker by paul masterson and the warp brothers.

I have been listening to Chill out music well before the term was ever invented (Pure Moods etc. I have heard the competitions efforts (Chilled Euphoria, Deep and Chilled Euphoria, Chill Out Session 1 and 2)and it appears that Unwind follows the traditional Moods format of diverse music styles standing un mixed side by side.

As such the 2 CDs contain every type of relaxing music from chilled house (American Dream)to Classical (Blue Planets) to classic radio rock easy listening (Elton John, David Gray) to 'laid back beats'(Garbage, Portishead) as MOS likes to call it and atmospheric film music (love theme from Blade runner).
