Purchased this CD because of her superb vocal abilities shown on "the Great Gig in the Sky" on the Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" album but she was not given the material to show off her ability on this one.
In general a bland, run of the mill album
Release Date June 27, 2005
great summer happy sounds from the talented Tony Burrows cross between the Beach Boys the Ivey League the Buffoons Flowerpot men and White Plains, have i missed anybody, golden harmony, worth every penny
Release Date March 27, 2000
Two original albums on one CD, plus a bonus track.
The debut album, "First Class", was excellent. Obviously the standout is Beach Baby, with the fadeout featuring quotes from the Flowerpot Men (understandably) and Sibelius (it took me 20 years to spot this one!) The other tracks are good as well, including a nostalgic remake of Funny how love can be (another blast from Tony Burrows' past). One of the most telling songs is Bobby Dazzler, about a never-quite-made-it singer who attempts more comebacks than Sinatra, Quo, Cher etc (take your pick!) - by this stage Burrows had appeared in more guises than any contemporary except Jonathan King.
The second album, "SST", was competent but forgettable.

Here, the first of the RCA double.
The Everlies assembled in the back room with friends that included John Sebastian and Graham Nash, and took us on another tour of mystery and surprise.
You could never say that they didn't keep you guessing.
From the short everyone-for-themselves ...that's "All We Wanna Do", Don shows off his maturing vocals on the reflective "Breakdown" [provided by Kris Kristofferson]. They deal effectively with Stewart's "Mandolin Wind" before Phil's superior solo on "Mabel's Room" [when he did get the odd solo, he often outshone his older brother...just as on the 1966 "Two Yanks..." album].
No matter, Don comes back on the fascinating "Del Rio Dan" before another failed single "Riding High" [originally] ... Read More:
